The Pod for 2011 has been totally reworked to showcase the best of skilled handmaking, with ravishing new silver labelling dominated by the new single drawknife or falx.
Deeply bowed with a long, deep, mid driving area and dramatically thick edges, the Pod is concave sanded just enough to reduce weight whilst keeping the essential depth and weight of wood through its core. The result is the greatest and most rewarding playing surface, with exquisite pick up. Every angle is precisely shaped and smoothed through unique sanding so the bat undulates in form, more sculpture than carpentry. Chosen from the very best of clefts, the Pod is performance in its highest state.
In the Players model the shape benefits further from CTS - Cambered Turned Shoulders, where the edges are turned back into the splice tapering from the shoulders down into the upper blade, further amplifying the wood in the spine down into the playing area without restricting pickup and creating a stunning shape.

Takes the bat to the point of knocking in by the owner. Linseed waxed during finishing then Bat Vaxed at the toe before application of our strong UK made anti-scuff. This gives the bat a sound foundation for the first season with oiling required before the second season’s usage. FULL KNOCKING IN IS REQUIRED.
